How do I reset my password?

How do I create an account?

Click the 'Sign In' button on the top right corner of any page on the site, and then click 'Sign Up!' at the bottom of the popup. You'll need to enter your name, your email address, and a password.

Absolutely. We take security very seriously and do not share private information with any parties unless they are partner vendors assisting us in executing a great customer experience. We run Luxury Garage Sale operations on a secure and private server so payment information is always safe.

How do I find an item on the website?

There are many ways to shop our site! You can search, browse by category, or set filters.

  • If you know what you are looking for, type your keyword(s) into the search bar located at the top right of any page.
  • To browse by category, simply select an option from the menu at the top of any page.
  • To narrow your results, you can use the filters located on the left side of any browsing page.

Can’t find what you are looking for?

Check our site often as we post new items daily however if you are looking for something specific you cannot find visit our personal styling page and fill out the form. You will be matched with one of our amazing personal stylists who will take note of your wishlist and let you know when your desired piece(s) makes their way through our doors. They’ll also be able to help recommend others to match your style!

Can I try an item on at one of your stores?

Yes, please select 'try on in store' from the item(s) listing page, let us know what store works best for you, and confirm your email so one of our stylists can get in touch with you within the next 48 hours regarding your request.

*Please note that we are not able to accommodate try on requests for pieces being featured at our pop up shops until the pop up has ended. As a result, some items may be temporarily unavailable for try on and we thank you for understanding.

How do you authenticate?

Luxury Garage Sale guarantees that all items sold on our site are 100% authentic. All products accepted are inspected for brand-specific guidelines and are put through a rigorous multi-point inspection to determine authenticity before accepted into our inventory.

How do you determine conditions of your items?

Our team of conditions experts thoroughly evaluates each item by hand. We do our best to provide a detailed description of each piece including any wear or imperfections. Please reach out to us at if you have any questions.

Our items typically fall within 2 categories:

New: A brand-new, unused, and unworn item. Our new items may be in the original packaging and/or with the original tags attached. New items may show some wear from trying on.

Pre-owned: An item that has been lightly used or worn previously.

Orders & Payments

How do I know my order was received?

We will send you an order confirmation email once we receive your cleared payment, and your order is audited then assigned an order number in our system.

What form of Payment do you accept?

Paypal and Paypal Credit, Credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Affirm.

What is Affirm?

Affirm is a financing alternative to credit cards and other credit-payment products. Affirm offers instant financing for online purchases to be paid in fixed monthly installments over 3, 6, or 12 months.

What if I receive a damaged item?

We do our best to describe an item's condition as accurately as possible. If you feel that an item you received is not as described, please reach out to let us know within 3 days of your order’s delivery date. We only accept items that have the original tags, including the white Return Security Tag, attached for a return to be considered. All items must be unworn and unwashed. Please email us at, letting us know what about your purchase was not as described. Please include any applicable images so that we can fully evaluate the situation and determine if there is any further action that we can take.

What if I receive the wrong item?

If you receive the wrong item, please notify us immediately at To help us resolve this matter for you as quickly as possible, please include a photo, description and/or the item number located on the LGS tag of the item you received.


How does Luxury Garage Sale authenticate?

We have a team of in-house authentication experts who authenticate and review the condition of every item we sell. If an item doesn't meet our high standards and we can't guarantee its authenticity, we won't accept it.Each item in our inventory undergoes a rigorous, multi-point inspection process. This begins with a thorough inspection done by hand. We conduct extensive research, and inspect the item's material and workmanship. We examine any tags, labels, logos, hologram stickers, date and/or serial codes and identify the time period of each piece.

What will I earn?

Commission is earned based on the selling price of your item. Earn even more when you qualify for Gold or Platinum Loyalty Status.

Monthly Promotional Commission Rates

LGS periodically runs consignor promotions which offer commission rate incentives up to a maximum of 80% for specific brands and/or categories. Consignor promotions are valid on items with a net selling price of $250 or above.

Do you offer a loyalty program?

Yes. LGS offers a loyalty program to reward our best consignors. For more details on how to earn more on your items, See our item and loyalty commission structure.

When do I get paid?

We pay on the 15th of every month, or the following business day, for all items sold and shipped during the previous month (unless an item was subject to a return which may take 8 weeks to process). We pay via eCheck, Paypal, or LGS Store Credit which may not be converted to cash later on.

What is the length of the consignment period?

Our consignment period ends at the end of the month one year from the date we receive and assign Item Numbers to your consignment items.

Many pieces sell within the first 90 days — sometimes before we even list them on our website or send them to our stores.

If you request your items back within 6 months, you will be subject to a $15 per item early removal fee plus shipping costs.

At the end of the consignment period ownership of items on consignment may be transferred to Luxury Garage Sale unless you have specified in your Consignor Account that you want them returned at shipping cost of $15/box.

How are my items priced?

Our expert pricing team works to get you the best price possible for the pieces you consign based on current market conditions and consignment trends. We handle all markdowns and we'll let you know when a payment is on the way.You can review and track all pricing via your Consignor Account

Will my item price get reduced?

LGS' goal is to sell your items for as much as possible. We invest heavily in marketing to drive customers to our stores and online, while our stylists curate collections for individual clients. We will also use promotions to move items that may not sell as quickly to ensure you get your commissions in a timely fashion.

How do I request pieces back?

If you would like to request an item back, you can log into your Consignor Account and let us know.

We charge $15 per box for return shipping and a $15 per item early removal fee if the item is requested back within 6 months from consigning.

At the end of the consignment period, ownership of items on consignment may be transferred to Luxury Garage Sale unless you have specified in your Consignor Account that you want them returned at shipping cost of $15/box.

What about items that are not accepted?

Ownership of unaccepted items will be transferred to Luxury Garage Sale or shipped back to you at cost of $15/box--as designated by your account preferences. Log into your Consignor Account to view and update your preferences.

What happens if my item doesn't sell by the end of the consignment period?

How do I track my items?

Log into your Consignor Account to track the items you have consigned.

How do I log into my account?

1. Go to your Consignor Account via the link

3. Under My Account, click on "Consignor Account" in the left-hand navigation

** If it is your first time logging in, you may need to create your account to set up your password. Make sure to create your account using the same email address we currently have on file for your consignment items.

How do I get my items to you?

You may send acceptable designer items (see approved designer list here) with an initial minimum appraised list price of $80 and above, by requesting a shipping label to mail in your items, or dropping your items off at our Chicago or Dallas stores, or scheduling an at-home pick up in the greater Chicago, Dallas or New York City areas for high-value collections. You will be responsible for all risk of loss or damage while items are in transit until the items are unpacked, audited and assigned an internal tracking number by LGS.

Can I earn more with Store Credit?

Yes. If you'd like to be paid for your consignment items via store credit, you’ll earn 5% higher commission, up to a maximum of 80%. Store credit can’t be converted to cash later on.


What is your return policy?

You can return clothing and shoes by initiating a return via email within 3 days of an item(s) delivery date. We only accept items that have the original tags, including the white Return Security Tag, attached for a return to be considered. All items must be unworn and unwashed. Please email us at with your order number, or at least your name, and we'll work from there.

**Please note that all accessories, handbags and jewelry are FINAL SALE.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

Yes, you will be responsible for return shipping and we do thank you for your understanding. You are more than welcome to ship your return back to us via the least expensive trackable method within 48 hours of having your return approved.


When will my order ship?

Purchases are normally shipped within 3 days of processing payment; if your order requires an extended shipping window, it will be noted on the product detail page. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email from with your tracking information so that you can track and anticipate your order’s arrival on your end. Please note some items are shipped by our storefront partners such as Roundabout Couture.

What happens if I do not receive my package?

If your tracking number indicates that your package has been delivered but you have not received it, please first check around your home and with any friends or neighbors that may have accepted the package on your behalf. Next, please notify us at and we will work with the carrier and our storefront partners to open an investigation. Please note that if the carrier finds that there was no mishandling of your package, there is no further action that we are able to take

Standard shipping within the continental United States is $14.95, Second Day Air is $25 and next-day air is $55

Canadian shipments are a flat rate of $29

International shipping is a flat rate of $55
